OUR SCHOOL
The school was first named Tandang Sora Elementary School Annex in 1958 which was located at 10th Street Corner 11th Avenue in a rented house owned by Cortez Family. It had only two (2) rooms with two (2) teachers and four (4) classrooms.
In the early 60s, the school got its full independence from being an annex and was renamed Eulogio Rodriguez Elementary School because of its location, which was the heart of Barrio Rodriguez, when Caloocan was still under the province of Rizal. In the early 70’s 4 classrooms were added, having an additional 8 classes, and the principal then was Ms. Rosario Lopez. In 1974, under Mr. Juanito Dela Cruz, additional classrooms were made. From 1978 to 1981, Mrs. Norma Mendoza took over as principal of the school, followed by Ms. Irma Marquez in 1983. Mr. Juanito Dela Cruz was reassigned as principal in 1983-1985. During his time, the school was transferred to its present location now in Biglang-Awa corner 11th Avenue, Caloocan City. After his retirement in 1985, Mr. Inocentes Noble took the helm, followed by Mrs. Norma Avelino, who served as principal from 1987-1992.
Through the concerted effort of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and other stakeholders, under the leadership of Mrs. Corazon Gonzales, years 1992-1995, a three-storey building with nine (9) classrooms was constructed. The building was finished and inaugurated under the principalship of Mr. Ceazar Pangilinan who retired in 1998. The school was turned over to Mrs. Lilia Cruz as principal from 1998 to 2001. She was followed by Mrs. Lina Ramos who served as principal for three years until her retirement in December 2004. Dr. Carmenia Abel was assigned to ERES for barely a month, from December 2004 to January 2005. After which, Mrs. Jocelyn Navarro took over as principal for five years, from 2005 to 2009. After that, Mrs. Gloria Espiritu took over for two years until her retirement in November 2011, followed by Ms. Leonora Dalluay until April 4, 2014. Then, Dr. Aida Polo served as teacher-in-charge from April 5, 2014, to April 17, 2015. Followed by Dr. Romeo Egot, who brought recognition to the school through his expertise in the field of journalism. In 2018, under the leadership of Dr. Domitilla S. Gutierrez, the three-storey building on the school’s right side was reconstructed into a four-story building with 3 classrooms each.
At present, Eulogio Rodriguez Elementary School is one of the medium schools in the Division of Caloocan under the principalship of Dr. Ma. Luisa B. Dela Cruz. According to the Transfer Certificate of Title No. 51566, ERES has an area of 5,739 square meters and currently has three buildings with a total of 27 rooms, 20 of which are used as classrooms and seven of which are for ancillary services such as the Principal’s Office and rooms for the Conference, ICT, Property/HE, Feeding, Canteen, and SBM/Clinic.
